Efaflex approached us with the task to create an energy savings calculator interfaces based on a study and calculation model they provided for their new door system based on location, room size, energy cost and usage patterns.
I took over this project from another designer and continued the conversation with the client using the previously created work files.
My responsibilities
📌 Collect client requirements and present design variants for discussion 📌 Create responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile views 📌 Continuous iteration based on new use-cases and business requirements
The outcome
We created and released a responsive mobile-first touchscreen-compatible energy calculator for the Efaflex website and for client presentations on trade fairs.

Tablet View
Tablet layout
For the tablet layout we stuck with the general design of the sliders but increased their size to make sure they are easy to operate on a touch screen.

Mobile view
Mobile layout
For the mobile version we decided to add an option to directly input values into input fields as sliders tend to be unreliable on small touch screens if a precise value needs to be entered.
